Over lockdown we’re featuring businesses from the Bannockburn RFC. Wedding DJ Scotland, run by forwards coach Nick, provides entertainment services for weddings, corporate events and private parties.
What does your business do?
Primarily wedding and corporate event entertainment in the form of mobile discos. But we do also do pubs, clubs and all types of private functions.
We’ve also done large events such as the Halloween and Bonfire Night at the Bannockburn club, as well as the Hogmanay Ball.
How has COVID-19 affected your business?
COVID-19 hit right at the start of our packed wedding season which saw us lose most of our bookings over the summer including the senior team’s dinner dance. The pandemic has also potentially halted our Christmas corporate run, so it’s a big loss.

What’s your connection to Bannockburn RFC?
I sit on the Seniors committee as Fixture Secretary and currently hold the role of Forwards coach.
I also referee from time to time and have been known to play occasionally. Warm up at Strathmore halted anytime on field that day and 40 mins against Crieff a week later!
Favourite Bannockburn player?
There are a few, but Iain McEwan, Bobski, or Big Chris Ireland are up there.
