Message from new Club President

Elected at the 2020 AGM, Iain McEwan delivers his first message as Club President. Iain has been a Bannockburn player for more than 10 years.

Message from Club President

Firstly, I would like to thank outgoing President Mark Wetton and applaud him on the fine work he has put in at the Club, especially during the hard times brought on by COVID-19. I will endeavour to continue his good example.

It is an honour to be elected as Club President and is something I could not have imagined when I joined the club over a decade ago.

To the volunteers

Bannockburn RFC is all about active volunteerism and participation. Without the many talented volunteers who give up their time and energy, our club would not run as well as it does.

I would urge all players and supporters to put their names forward to help in the running of the Club over the season ahead, even if it is for one or two events.

Any help, no matter how small an act, is much appreciated.

The season ahead

I would like to wish first XV Captain Calum Bruce – and all our players, at every level – a successful, enjoyable and injury-free season.

As President, I hope to meet you all throughout the year, as well as making new rugby friends when welcoming our league opposition.

I look forward to a successful year ahead for the whole of Bannockburn Rugby Club both on and off the pitch.

Whatever comes our way, we’ll face it together.

Iain McEwan, Club President
